What to sow between plantings?
Yes — don't leave the bed bare. In spring, before tomatoes, cucumbers and squash go out, sow mustard or oats as soon as the soil can be worked and cut them 2 weeks before planting. In summer, after garlic, radish, lettuce or early peas, sow buckwheat or phacelia; cut at the first flowers, before they set seed, and sow again if there is time. Leave the cut mass on the bed as mulch. The plan works out the dates for each bed.
